Physical Accessibility

High Glades Medical Centre has 2 surgeries we understand that all of our patients needs can differ and we do our best to ensure that the surgeries are accessible to all.

High Glades Medical Centre (Upper Church Road Site)

The surgery is a three storey building with clinical rooms based both on the ground and first floor of the building. We also have a lift for those with mobility issues

There is disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for disabled patients. There is access through the main door and we have a wheelchair available for use in surgery.

There is a small car park which includes one space for disabled parking outside of the surgery and also roadside parking alongside Upper Church Road.

High Glades Medical Centre (St Leonards Medical Centre Site)

We are based on the ground floor of the building with accessible clinical rooms.

There is a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

There is a large car park that is shared with another GP practice so at times spaces maybe limited. This also has disabled car parking spaces.

Hearing Difficulties

If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room. Alternatively, we do have the facility of a portable induction loop. If you would like to use this, please ask at reception for assistance.

If you feel there is anything we can be doing better to support all abilities in accessing the surgery then please feel free to comment either at reception, through the suggestion box in the surgery or email us at sxicb-esx.highgladesprescriptions@nhs.net
